  - - He went to Iraq before graduating from Ranger school.
  
  - - Despite his service to our country, he was critical of the Bush administration and was outspoken against it while deployed.
  
  - - - He urged his fellow soldiers, in 2004, to vote for John Kerry instead of Bush.
  
  - - In 2005, he was redeployed to Afghanistan, and on April 22nd of that year was killed by friendly fire.
  
  - - - Two allied forces, apparently, fired on each other after an explosion made both think they were under attack.
  
  - - - - In the confusion, Tillman was apparently the unlucky recipient of 3 shots to the head.
