Adnan Sami's dilemma

Adnan Sami has been receiving death threats for some time now, but cannot leave the country because his father is critically ill.

The singer alleged that for the past few months he has been targeted not only by members of the music fraternity but also by goons from a political party. However, the singer's father, Arshad Sami Kham Khan, who is in Mumbai from Houston on a vacation, is critically ill and has been admitted to a hospital.

Adnan, who moves around with a posse of security guards, is concerned about his and his father's safety. Adnan told the Mumbai Mirror, “My father came to Mumbai from Houston for a holiday when all hell broke loose. He had a relapse of cancer of the pancreas. We had to rush him to the hospital.” In the past week Adnan has been doing the rounds of the hospital, barely getting sleep. “Please pray for him,” said the musician.
