Nokia 5800: Over one million

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic came a bit later and a bit higher price than originally announced by the manufacturer, but it seems that this had no influence on its success. The first touchscreen Finnish musical phone is not yet available worldwide, but the first one million copies have already been sold, one month after the launch. In Germany and England sales have started only two weeks ago, but according to the first news there is a huge success expected, as it is a free phone at most network operators, or it can be taken for a couple of cents. Even in spite of the recession in England, there have been 150 customers waiting in front of the Nokia shop in London early in the morning to be the first to own the Finnish phone. Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, having a really agressive ad campaign, features a 3.2", 640 x 360 pixels large touchscreen display, a 3.2 megapixel atuofocus camera, GPS, WLAN, stereo Bluetooth, a gyroscope, distance measurement and light sensor, HSDPA support, stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm jack, TV-out and a user interface that is easy to use with a finger. The package includes an 8 GB memory card, USB and TV cable, a stereo headset with remote, a wristband, a pick, a backup stylus and a soft carrying case.
