The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) will provide additional Rs 200 crore to the government of Orissa under the Orissa Rural Infrastructure Development Fund project. The fund will be utilized for the rural road connectivity and infrastructure development in the state.
Earlier, NABARD had given Rs 700 crore under this project. It is reported that the state was able to spend only 48 per cent of the fund received the rural infrastructure development fund.
Considering the additional allocation by NABARD, the Development Commissioner TK Mishra has reviewed the development of various programmes started under the rural infrastructure development fund on Monday.
