I'm feeling very happy right now. I want to hug the world.
The last date for tax declarations on the payroll system has just got extended. Also, my boss is out of the country.
Therefore I shall dispense some free advice to Delhi newbies:
Newbies and weekend-trippers: before you head off to Agra and Jaipur, which are actually poor cousins of this greatest of cities, go on a guided walk. INTACH (google the organisation if you want to know who they are) organises these for a small charge (50 bucks a head, entrance fees extra). The only drawback is, the guide is not a trained historian, but a volunteer who has generally picked up a smattering here and a spattering there. But it's better than going alone, or trusting yourself to a 'professional guide'.
